Privacy Policy

Effective June 12, 2026Last updated June 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Better Health Option collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Better Health Option is a brand of Better Coverages LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“we”, “us”, “our”).

It applies to this website, to the consumer quote-request forms and landing pages we operate that link to this policy, and to the calls, texts and emails that follow from them.

Who we are

Better Health Option is a lead generation company. We run our own advertising and our own quote-request forms for health, auto and home insurance. When a consumer asks to be contacted about coverage, we verify the request and pass it to a licensed insurance agent, agency, or carrier that buys leads from us (our “Buyers”).

We are not an insurance company, agency, or producer. We do not sell insurance, provide quotes, or give insurance advice. The Buyer who contacts you is responsible for any quote, policy, or advice they provide.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you complete one of our quote-request forms, we collect what you enter. Depending on the insurance type, that can include:

  • Name, phone number, email address, and mailing address or ZIP code
  • Date of birth or age range, gender, and household size
  • For health insurance: income range, current coverage status, and whether you are eligible for Medicare
  • For auto insurance: vehicle year, make and type, current carrier, coverage status, and driving history you choose to disclose
  • For home insurance: property type, ownership status, year built, and current carrier

We do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank or card details, or medical records, and you should not submit them.

Business visitors who use the contact form on this website do so through their own email client. The form opens a pre-filled email; nothing you type into it is stored by this website.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our forms and landing pages we collect your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you viewed, the advertisement or search that brought you to us, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to prevent fraud, measure our advertising, and document your consent.

Information from other sources

To verify that a request is genuine we check the details you give us against third-party services, which may return phone line type and carrier, whether a number is active, email deliverability, and address standardization. We also check numbers against do-not-call and suppression lists.

We do not buy consumer lists, and we do not acquire leads from other lead generators.

How we use information

  • To connect you with licensed insurance professionals who can respond to your request
  • To verify your identity and contact details, and to detect bots, fraud and duplicate submissions
  • To match your request to Buyers licensed in your state and for the insurance type you asked about
  • To contact you by phone, text, or email about your request, where you have agreed to that
  • To keep the records needed to show you consented, and to honor opt-out and do-not-call requests
  • To measure and improve our advertising and forms
  • To comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect our rights and the rights of others

How we share information

  • Buyers. We share your request with one or more licensed agents, agencies, or carriers, as described in the consent you gave on our form. Depending on the Buyer’s arrangement with us, your request may go to a single Buyer or to a small number of Buyers. Each Buyer uses your information under its own privacy policy.
  • Service providers. We use vendors for hosting, data verification, consent recording, call and text delivery, analytics, and advertising. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Advertising platforms. We use pixels and conversion tools from advertising platforms to measure which ads lead to completed requests. See “Cookies and tracking” below.
  • Legal and safety. We disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect against fraud or harm.
  • Business transfers. If our business or assets are sold or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Sharing your request with Buyers in exchange for payment may be a “sale” of personal information under some state laws. See “Do not sell or share” below.

Calls, texts and Do Not Call

If you give your consent on our form, we and the Buyers named or described in that consent may call and text you at the number you provided — including calls and texts made with automated technology, prerecorded or artificial voices, and AI-generated voices — about insurance products. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can withdraw it at any time, by any reasonable means, including:

  • Replying STOP to any text message (reply HELP for help)
  • Telling the caller you no longer wish to be contacted
  • Emailing privacy@betterhealthoption.com with your phone number and the words “Do Not Call”

We maintain an internal do-not-call list, scrub against the National Do Not Call Registry and applicable state lists, and process opt-out requests within the time required by law. Because Buyers operate their own systems, you may also need to tell a Buyer directly that you do not want further contact from them; we will pass your request on to Buyers who received your information from us.

Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies and tracking

Our forms and landing pages use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. These include tools that keep a form working, fraud-prevention and bot-detection signals, the consent-recording script described above, and advertising pixels from the platforms we advertise on (such as Meta, TikTok and Google) that tell us when an ad led to a completed request.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most advertising platforms let you limit ad personalization in their own settings. Blocking cookies may prevent our forms from working.

Your choices

  • Calls and texts: see “Calls, texts and Do Not Call” above.
  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Cookies: use your browser settings, or the Global Privacy Control signal described below.
  • Access, correction, or deletion: email privacy@betterhealthoption.com. Residents of certain states have additional rights, described below.

Do not sell or share my personal information

You can ask us not to sell or share your personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising. To do so:

  • Email privacy@betterhealthoption.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share”, or
  • Enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) in a browser or extension that supports it. We treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing for that browser.

Opting out of sale means we will not pass future requests from you to Buyers. If you later submit a new quote request and agree to be contacted, that new request is handled under the consent you give at that time.

State privacy rights, including California

Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws — you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you, and obtain a copy
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, we must keep consent and opt-out records)
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information, where applicable
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
  • Appeal our decision on your request, where your state provides that right

To make a request, email privacy@betterhealthoption.com. We will verify your request by matching the information you provide to the information we hold. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and ask you to confirm your identity directly. We respond within the time your state’s law requires. To appeal a decision, reply to our response with “Appeal” in the subject line.

California notice at collection

In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described above:

  • Identifiers (name, phone, email, address, IP address) — disclosed to Buyers and service providers; sold or shared with Buyers and advertising platforms
  • Personal characteristics, which may include protected classifications such as age and gender — disclosed to Buyers; sold to Buyers
  • Commercial information (insurance coverage status, current carrier, vehicle and property details) — disclosed to Buyers; sold to Buyers
  • Internet or other electronic activity (pages viewed, referring ad, device data) — disclosed to service providers; shared with advertising platforms
  • Geolocation derived from ZIP code or IP address (not precise geolocation) — disclosed to Buyers and service providers
  • Inferences drawn from the above to match you with a suitable Buyer — disclosed to Buyers

We do not collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. Retention periods are described under “How long we keep information”.

Business customers and partners

If you contact us on behalf of an insurance agency, carrier, or other business, we use your business contact details to respond, to set up and manage the commercial relationship, and to send related communications. We do not sell business contact information.

How long we keep information

We keep quote-request data for as long as needed to deliver it, to resolve returns and disputes with Buyers, and to meet our legal obligations. Consent records and opt-out records are kept for at least the period during which a claim about the contact could be brought under federal and state telemarketing laws. When information is no longer needed it is deleted or de-identified.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed matching for duplicate detection. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
